But amidst all of that, there are others who may have already embarked upon some get rich schemes as they plot and prey upon the greedy or vulnerable persons in the society.

Guillain Barre Syndrome is listed by medical professionals as a serious and rare autoimmune disorder, where the immune system attacks healthy nerve cells in the peripheral nervous system thus leading to weakness, numbness, tingling sensation in the legs, muscle spasm and eventually causes paralysis.

At the recently concluded I Am Able Conference, many of the difficulties, the discrimination, and inequalities facing persons living with disabilities (PLWD) were brought to light. Whether it is access to buildings, jobs, higher learning, those with disabilities are often left behind.

They are ostracized by our society, labelled as slow, retarded, handicapped and often treated less than humans, even by their own family members. Simply because they may not be able to communicate or comprehend like we do, they are viewed as an embarrassment, while others give them things out of a sense of duty rather than love.
